Essentially, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s like a fully functional voice over ip service.  You can read more about it at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/chat\/voice\/\">http:\/\/www.google.com\/chat\/voice\/<\/a> . <\/p>\n<p>The first thing I thought of is that if you have a smartphone you can virtually do all of your North American calling for free assuming that you have the data plan to support it.  Most likely if you are using a data phone you would already have such a service.
