It was so mind boggling to see how much people charge for things that I would consider very minimal in terms of effort.  Example, for one auto shop they charged a person about $1800 in labor to replace a front bumper.  The actual part itself is only like $200 too.<\/p>\n<p>In times like that it is one of those thing where it can be wiser to instead invest your time in trying to teach yourself how to do it.  Example, like in that case you could probably pay an enthusiast like $800 to teach you how to do it and then spend the money yourself on the part.  Same thing with other things like computers as I always find it amazing when people charge say $150 alone to replace something simply like the memory.
