Today while checking the grocery app, I got one of these deals that seemed pretty decent where they give you an offer to pay about a dollar twenty-nine for these boxes of cookies. You can buy two, in various varieties, and that’s actually a good deal because normally for one, you’d have to pay about three dollars or more. But the thing that actually came up was how, although it’s cheap, you can probably eat that whole bag within, let’s just say, one or two sittings and that’s it. The money’s gone, which makes you think, actually, because usually when it comes to making purchases, that’s something I think about when I’m buying something not just based on how much it is, but rather how much value I can get out of it for the price. For example, if there’s some type of meal where, if I paid one dollar and fifty cents, could I buy something that lasts even longer, for example?

Cause, honestly, you can actually buy some vegetables, for example, that last you a couple of days versus, obviously, this is a treat, but still it’s a mentality you have to think about when it comes to spending money and that actually made the temptation even less in terms of spending money for these cookies. You can argue they’re not good for you, which is true, I suppose, but that’s another way I stay frugal, in determining how long you could actually use something like this.

That’s why, for a lot of my hobbies, actually, when it comes to things like, let’s just say, a video game, I know a lot of people would say it’s a complete waste of money, and it’s so expensive, but for the amount of time that I get in terms of being able to be entertained by it, having repeat value in terms of being able to play it over and over again, it sure beats, for example, just spending twenty dollars on some event that might last only, let’s just say, one hour, and it might not even be that good versus something I’ll actually own for life.

And if I decide to sell it, for example, for money, I could, which I would recoup some of my costs or, if it becomes really popular or rare in the future, it’s all of a sudden a collectible, and that’s just something I constantly think about when it comes to spending money.
