This was a surprising read as Elon Musk posted on his X account that next year he will be giving every child in America shares in SpaceX and that is jus the beginning. While one share isn’t going to make a child a millionaire, ‘I suppose its free money plus it probably makes people more likely to support the company and say US related growth as they literally own a piece of the company. As well, one could theoretically work in a different career and as SpaceX gets bigger they could reap the benefits of it as well.

Not a bad idea to encourage growth. The other thing people were saying is how giving away money like this can have its benefits for wealthy people such as how people intentionally reduce their income in these ways to pay less taxes. But if people who actually need it are benefiting then I don’t see the issue. The other thought was how since people not having children is a problem lately this perhaps acts as another way to convince people to have kids as usually its finances that restrict people from having them in the first place.

I was reading how other companies may be doing something similar in terms of giving the public ownership in these ways. If that is the case, that may not be too far fetched where many are predicting that the value of trading hours for dollars may disappear soon for many jobs as well.
