It’s no surprise for a lot of entrepreneurs they need to try their best to maintain a good community image which often means helping others. But today it got me thinking as there was a person who’s business was fundamentally content creation for video games and on a surface level he seems kind and helpful. People were amazed at his skill. However, it was recently discovered that the person was actually using a cheating device where not only did it make his accomplishments invalid, but he was actually harassing other players with these tools as well. For example, suppressing resources so that he would be the only one that gains.

It’s always amazing to see the contrast of a public persona versus reality which should always make you a little worried before just committing to say a partnership with someone without doing some research outside of the stuff they want you to hear. I find nowadays it can be easier like in this case where simply asking the people that dislike the person can lead you to the right path. Sure, you can say they may be bias where if they don’t like them, they will talk bad about them. But another way to think about it is those people are likely to try and find everything wrong with the person and from there you can make your own personal judgement.

Especially with AI research available too nowadays you can do a semi thorough job at an instant in many cases.
