The other day, I was walking by what looked like a car event\u2014everyone was driving these expensive cars around. The funny thing is, I’m not really a car guy, so even though they looked fancy, I had no idea what they were worth. Still, you could clearly tell how excited everyone was. Apparently, there were Ferraris and stuff like that, but honestly, most of the time I didn’t even know what I was looking at.<\/p>\n
It got me thinking about the value of things and how to attract the right people. Imagine if a tech event had a grand opening and tried to draw people in with expensive cars. That might make sense for a fine dining restaurant, where the crowd is more likely to relate to luxury vehicles. But for a tech audience, people might not connect with a fifty-thousand-dollar car at all. They’d probably get way more excited about a five-thousand-dollar high-end Nvidia graphics card because that’s something they actually understand and value.<\/p>\n
It makes you wonder if people sometimes use the wrong things to attract their audience. Instead of picking what\u2019s genuinely relevant, they just look at their budget and ask, \u201cWhat\u2019s the fanciest, most expensive thing we can get?\u201d Sometimes you don\u2019t need expensive stuff\u2014you just need to know your audience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
