With a lot of people constantly trying to find the best deals as usually one of the smartest ways to save money is to plan your meals based on what is on sale, it got me thinking as today I passed by a farmers market where as you would expect the items cost way more than what you would find at stores. A lot of the vendors seemed to be so-so in terms of traffic as most people seemed to be hanging around for the food vendors. It did make me think in terms of advertising here, what would you focus on to convince people to pay more for your goods?<\/p>\n
Usually for farmer\u2019s markets they would highlight how it is say organic and local items that didn\u2019t travel across countries to get there. Or, the other angle is how you are supporting a farmer and local businesses which can be a deciding factor for many. What would you think is the most effective way to get people to pay more? I know for myself, it would probably be the quality angle where if you can clearly show fast that your groceries are fresh and not injected with a bunch of stuff to improve shelf life that in itself is a great value proposition if I knew it was better for me. Spend more now on good food and pay less for health expenses later as an example.<\/p>\n
I often said I find it weird that most people are willing to pay premiums for the top notch gizmos that has just been released versus really good quality food that your body actually needs. But either way, that\u2019s what companies would have to market to a person like myself I feel to convince me not to just buy items from the bigger chains with higher buying power.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
