I was reading some articles today that talked about how here in Canada they were proposing to potentially ban people under 16 the ability to use social media as if it\u2019s like alcohol I suppose stating they can be harmful as an example. This made me think as social media in general is just a tool for the most part and it actually enabled a lot of people to create a home-based business. I read stories of teenagers actually running drop shipping businesses as an example while going to school still. So, if we do ban it, does this actually give people a disadvantage when they grow up as they won\u2019t be in-tune with these tools? Kind of like stopping a teenager back in the day from using a computer or telephone in general I would think.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s one of those things where even I have to wonder if just banning tools like these are the right thing versus allowing the parents to actually monitor and make the decisions for their child. The only other thing of course is that we all grew up differently such as social media becoming a thing for a lot of people when they were older versus being like say five years old where it was mostly watching TV shows. I know for myself I would try and educate the child to use it responsibly because I would still think it\u2019s important that they have some basic skill in the subjects.<\/p>\n
Again, it may make it worst if they have no experience whereas in other parts of the world they would allow it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
