Today was a reminder on how whenever you have a customer base that frequently does business with you it can be great to actually learn a bit about their life to help build rapport. I had a good example of this today as I just went for my usual haircut and I was just chatting with the barber about some of the other businesses that he does which generated non stop conversations about things like the best type of equipment to purchase. All as he was cutting my hair and you can tell he was taking his time in wanting to get it right.<\/p>\n
Everything was great in the end and I did tip him. It\u2019s one of those things too where even if I could get the service cheaper elsewhere building thar relationship makes it harder to go elsewhere as you kind of establish a loyalty of sort because of all this. It doesn\u2019t cost you any extra marketing budget as well as it is basic human relationship. It\u2019s not good enough if the business gives bad service of course. But it\u2019s something you can proactively do right away.<\/p>\n
Doesn\u2019t it make working more pleasant too when you can have casual conversations like these as well? This is one thing an online business doesn\u2019t usually do as good of a job with. Then again, watch people use AI for this in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
