This got me thinking today as there was a situation where apparently an organization was stealing people\u2019s work and was actually making money out of it which violates various laws of course. AS expected, those companies didn\u2019t take too kindly of this and began issuing takedown notices and all. Because of this, the company that did the stealing has a bad image and reputation now where people are staying away from them. Here was the interesting thing. Because of this they were asking the companies to retract their legal claims and their argument was something along the lines of it is harming their business.<\/p>\n
Literally, they didn\u2019t even mention anything about the financial harm they have caused to the people whom he stole the work from as I am sure they lost money as a result. All the apologies in the world isn\u2019t going to get the rightful owners to budge. Which makes you think, if you caused say financial harm to a person in these ways I think you need to actually offer them compensation as a way to even get them to potentially drop their arms.<\/p>\n
Just focusing on how their own business is affected as a result of their crime per se is a little mind boggling. It\u2019s almost like the child defense where they think just saying sorry is enough. When real money is involved it usually means you need to offer something financial per se to truly show you are apologetic I would say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
