This was surprising news today as the US apparently now owns 10% stake in the company Intel that is most known for creating computer processors. They were pretty much the dominant force before only to fall off the cliff it seems as other companies like AMD have pretty much beaten them tech innovation wise which ultimately meant their company value dropped fast. I suppose this purchase is good for the company, but it does make you wonder if there will be some kind of conflict huh?<\/p>\n
The thought would be if the government owns a piece of the company then is it too far fetched that they will go above and beyond to try and make the company successful in a bias way? For example, making laws that would benefit them while stifling the competition? Or imagine with purchasing equipment for government related equipment. Why wouldn\u2019t they just make all their orders through Intel now since they own a piece of it?<\/p>\n
Then again, would the government use technically inferior products in various cases just because they own a piece of the company? Who knows, but I bet as a business this isn\u2019t a curveball you would expect where the government is the competition too huh?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
