I recently heard of a free event that was happening which seemed to be just a simple speaker panel of sort as industry professionals will be sharing their thoughts which can be valuable for people to learn. I was looking at the panel of guests and one name stood out to me in a not so good way. I remember specifically hearing in-person of someone who worked with this individual and how they were constantly dismissive as a contractor to the point where regardless of how much they tried they realized they needed to move on. He described how the person was very angry after too but I guess you can say they could have fixed it a long time ago if they wanted.<\/p>\n
The thing is, I never met the person myself of course. But hearing this one bad story has stuck on my mind whenever I hear the person\u2019s name. I guess it is kind of unfair. But this shows you the power of word-of-mouth reviews of various businesses as you tend to trust people who have first hand experience with various businesses versus what is written on accompany site as an example.<\/p>\n
This is no different than reading bad reviews on an online shopping site as that one negative remark is often powerful enough to encourage a large portion of the population to keep their distance.
