When people seek to get some advice about their situation it can definitely be expensive such as having to pay lawyers hundreds of dollars an hour. Therefore, a lot of people just bypass it as they can\u2019t afford it as a startup. Then there are those times where people actually have say a friend or colleague that has expertise in a particular field that they need to the point where they can essentially get free advice on a whim. You would think people would value that. But funny enough, more often I have seen people take it for granted such as not showing up when they requested for say a meeting or blowing it off as they think something else is more important. It\u2019s a mindset on how one just assumes it will always be there.<\/p>\n
That is not the case of course as I have even see people start telling their friends that they will charge them per hour just like any other business as an example as a way to make sure their time is not being wasted or taken advantage of. At times that can create arguments such as people feeling friends don\u2019t do that to each other. It\u2019s necessary though as a business in many ways.<\/p>\n
I never take it for granted as I actually try to ask as little as possible knowing they could make money this way and always try to request times that they say is good for them. Because like the above it is a privilege to have access to people with the skills and knowledge you need. You need to take care of it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
