{"id":17750,"date":"2025-05-29T23:00:38","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T07:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al6400.com\/blog\/?p=17750"},"modified":"2025-05-29T23:00:38","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T07:00:38","slug":"hornswoggle-hating-peter-dinklage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al6400.com\/blog\/hornswoggle-hating-peter-dinklage\/","title":{"rendered":"Hornswoggle Hating Peter Dinklage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was a fascinating interview I was watching where it fundamentally dealt with dwarfism in the entertainment industry and whether or not it\u2019s appropriate to write roles based on the person\u2019s height in the same manner as making roles based on people\u2019s skin color I suppose.  One famous wrestler named Hornswoggle called out the actor Peter Dinklage for allegedly influencing movies like Snow White to not use people to act as the seven dwarves as the company eventually used CG animation.  Apparently, he publicly scolded company\u2019s like Disney for having roles like that where he felt even people with dwarfism should just be treated like a regular person.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4pwLBmufnE8?si=9Ati-wcZ_cTVlEWY\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This got Hornswoggle to comment how Dinklage essentially costed seven people acting jobs for those roles and more.  At the same time, he expresses how Dinklage didn\u2019t have an issue playing small people roles before when he wasn\u2019t as famous to the point where one may feel he is being selfish.  Example, Hornswoggle expressed how he would love to do those roles on a big feature film.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an interesting topic in the entertainment business on whether or not you should embrace these kinds of jobs that are clearly in a sense taking advantage of peoples characteristics.  Because for a lot of the famous people they actually did say those \u201cdemeaning roles\u201d to get to where they are and others may not have the same chance.
