This was fascinating news today as Amazon was apparently ready to start listing tariff prices for each product sold om its website as a way to show consumers how much more they are paying for certain products that come from China as an example. A lot of their vendors do obtain their products outside the US and so there will be no avoiding those fees.<\/p>\n
This generated the attention of people calling it a political statement of sort and how it is questionable for a business to do that. In the end though, apparently, they are scrapping that plan. But it makes you think if it is even a remotely good idea to do that as a company since it does sound like a politically motivated response and politics aren\u2019t usually good for business when your audience is surely split with the issue.<\/p>\n
It just seems better to stay away from the topic many times overall as a company and let things work out. I\u2019m sure representatives could discuss the issue in other ways, but this would kind of be no different than plastering your whole retail store with signs on how you dislike a politician and their direction.
