For example, instead of getting everyone like a $30 item each, if I know that they could use say a new computer monitor then I would tend to buy that as they all would use it.<\/p>\n<p>I think the only tricky thing in doing this is if you are say buying a present where the family has two kids.  It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not hard to see how the kids may have a hard time sharing in that scenario unless the item is something of a substantial value like say a video game system.
