Today I was actually interested in purchases a lens for the camera where the deal seemed okay and it was actually cheaper than buying it at the store. This was officially from the company too and they advertised it was free shipping over a certain amount which this was. So I proceeded to go to the checkout cart only to be surprised after all the extra tax and duties that would be charged. At about $50 in additional fees, it was virtually the same price then getting it at the stores. So, I decided to hold off on the purchase and wait for a potential sale.<\/p>\n
I almost wonder in this case if it is better to just be upfront with the price immediately for people to properly consider if it is worth it. Because being surprised just before checkout usually makes people leave right away as they I a sense feel duped and are more content to just not make the purchase. I know you could argue having the lower price upfront gets more of an emotional response to buy it. But in the end like here it didn\u2019t work out and is worst, I think.<\/p>\n
I know even for taxes in some places they actually just put it in the actual price you see on the signs versus having to calculate it yourself. I would actually prefer it like that personally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
