Usually when companies post job advertisements a lot of them will focus on the pay benefits in order to attract talent as people are working primarily for money right? While that is true, it won\u2019t necessarily keep people at the company if they hate it and are just doing it to pay the bills. The first opportunity they get to make more money elsewhere they will likely leave too.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s what got my attention recently when I saw companies trying to have a more fun approach where they try and highlight how each day you get to play a game of sort, even though it is work, with all the extra company events and parties that you will get to attend. They were almost advertising it as if they just wanting people to attend a party and volunteer as an example. With that said, it actually attracted a lot of overqualified people who didn\u2019t really need the money but thought it may be a fun job.<\/p>\n
Kind of ironic there huh? You would think to attract the best talent would mean that you would need to pay the best. But I guess it\u2019s like a sports athlete where many times if they don\u2019t need the money then the lure of living and playing in a city that matches the exact type of lifestyle they want can be the bigger thing to highlight in order to attract the nest. Think beyond money if you are trying to find and retain the best talent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
