Interesting scenario recently as I was reading how a popular tech reviewer named Marques Brownlee was getting criticism for his negative review of a new AI pin product by a company called Humane which he clearly did not like. While ranking a product poorly is nothing new, apparently it was he was rather blunt about the product such as titling his video \u201cThe worst product I\u2019ve ever reviewed\u201d which generated the controversy.<\/p>\n

The argument was he is so popular and his reviews could literally sink a company. Therefore, by being that bluntly negative is in a sense \u201cunprofessional\u201d in many people\u2019s eye and irresponsible. On the other hand, people would argue that\u2019s what he needs to do for his audience where he gives honest feedback about his experiences.<\/p>\n

So the question is if you were in a sense sponsored or provided with the opportunity to review a product should you approach it in a delicate manner where you simply highlight pros and cons or should you just be open in say scolding them as well if that is how you feel which puts them in a very bad light? Funny enough, for reviews this is often why companies have to pre-approve sponsored reviews as they don\u2019t want something like this happening. I personally think in this case the video title probably has a lot to do with it.<\/p>\n

I suppose it\u2019s like giving someone criticism about their skill level. Would you simply highlight why you feel they aren\u2019t ready professionally or would you start commenting how they are the worst person on earth and all?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
