Today it started to snow heavily at times here in Vancouver where it seemed like a lot of people were simply not prepared. For example, vehicles and pedestrians looking like they were just expecting a normal day. As you can imagine, a lot of vehicle accidents occurred and people getting stuck in transit without planning for alternative routes. It is a reoccurring theme here where it seems like every winter people get surprised by the snow as chaos breaks out.<\/p>\n
For myself I usually expect the worst when it comes to Winter weather to the point where I tend to plan multiple forms of routes and transportation just in case something like this happens. For example, if I normally take the bus and there is a very good chance of snow then I tend to try and plan my day where I could literally walk to the rapid transit system as the trains are usually okay.<\/p>\n
Not everyone would have this flexibility, but I would tend to try and start things earlier as well to hopefully finish things faster in the day to specifically avoid the traffic rush after 5pm or so since that is where all the chaos usually starts popping up. It\u2019s like carrying an umbrella here where I usually have one as I travel since it often rains out of nowhere here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
