This was really interesting I thought a there are these two tech related channels that I watch from time to time on YouTube with the biggest one called Linus Tech Tips. I still remembered when that person was making videos for a computer store in this province. As it turns out, someone in the company made a comment on how they essentially do various product reviews that Gamers Nexus doesn\u2019t and that seemed to result in the Gamers Nexus channel creating an expose of sort on Linus Tech Tips.<\/p>\n
Essentially, it dived into topics of faulty reviews and questions about ethics. But what got me thinking out of this ordeal is how a smaller media company is in a sense going after the bigger company. That\u2019s usually not a good idea as that could mean a loss of business opportunities and networking connections. They acknowledged this though and on a surface level, it seems like a lot of people support them for it.<\/p>\n
There were then comments how people were saying the Gamers Nexus channel is simply manipulating people as a lot of people would support a David vs the Goliath. That I wouldn\u2019t know for sure as one can\u2019t rule out the possibility that a business could be doing it for clout and attention as well. For example, one could say they aren\u2019t making money off the story whereas on the other hand a company could recognize that all the added attention and exposure means they will still make more money as if it was a loss leader. I can only wonder what I would do in that situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
