It\u2019s almost the end of the year and from what I noticed a lot of stores are still trying to clear out their Christmas stock. Especially when it comes to chocolate. That means there are a lot of clearance sales everywhere. What I found funny was how the same companies could have dramatically different clearance prices. For example, one place could have a large case of licorice candy that normally retails for $15 for $5.99 clearance whereas another as it for about $2.50.<\/p>\n
In some instances, since these are large companies with multiple stores you could literally walk five minutes to a different location for a better deal. They definitely don\u2019t price shop themselves like they do for competitors. It almost reminds me how some places have manager specials which can vary store to store. I did hear a few comments of people saying they were actually buying items to save for next year.<\/p>\n
Not a good idea for candy as I actually know someone who literally gifted a previous year\u2019s box of chocolate to someone else and when they opened it apparently there were bugs and worms in the box.
