Interesting scenario to think about here I thought where a person’s phone has malfunctioned it seems where they now can either buy a new phone or attempt to fix their old one. People usually just opt to buy a new phone instead as repair costs in these cases could easily be $300 or more. But they were given another option by the store where they could trade their old device in for credit and then pay about $500 to get a refurbished unit.<\/p>\n
They were thinking about it but eventually decided to just hold off. It’s an interesting proposition when considering a repair could be more in some cases. But the drawback here is how the phone is very old and so it can make more sense to just buy something that came out more recently even if you have to spend another $200 as an example.<\/p>\n
Since the company has an offer like this I would imagine a lot of people would take the deal. It doesn’t seem to be worth it in my view as you could be losing more money by not updating such as newer apps no longer supporting operating systems on older phones. Or even how newer programs will be more resource intensive and designed for more recent hardware.<\/p>\n
In many cases too, if you viewed it from the angle of a new phone which just came out all of a sudden has a $500 off price error that would normally get people to actually buy it right away. If the refurbish phone was say $150 in this case then I could see a better argument personally to go with that route while you wait for a better deal. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
