Today there was supposed to be this large drone light show around Canada Place as the company Best Buy was promoting this a lot as a first of its kind event in Vancouver with about 300 drones. Even I was curious in checking it out. By the sounds of it, this drone show was supposed to start at the beginning of the event and there were quite a few people lined up to see it. However, apparently the organizers could get the drones going and people were standing outside in the cold wondering what was going on.<\/p>\n

As it turned out, apparently the drone system had too much signal interference due to so many factors such as people around a populated area where there are so many electronic devices and add to the fact that apparently the drones were supposed to come out of an underground parking lot I heard. So after about an hour or so they decided to cancel the event.<\/p>\n

While I am sure the businesses won\u2019t be too happy, what got me thinking is how disappointed a lot of people were where as a result the comments came pouring in on how people felt Best Buy doesn\u2019t understand tech as an example with this situation reminiscence of some people claiming say a sales associate just wants to sell items versus being knowledgeable.<\/p>\n

So how do you as a company put this fire out now huh? What should have been great for PR purposes has now turned into a nightmare I would imagine. Lucky this event didn\u2019t cost the audience any money at least.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
