Interesting thought as I was hearing a story of a person who like many people have a pet. People often feel it\u2019s therapeutic and can be great for kids to grow up with. Pets can get really expensive though such as a dog where you will need to constantly feed it, bring it in for check ups while making sure you clean up after it. But for this example, the person decided early on that for their pet it would be a chicken. They still have to feed it and all which costs money. But since the chicken can lay eggs they essentially save money on the grocery bills as that is one less thing they need to buy a day.<\/p>\n
As well, if they ever get an excess amount of eggs which they don\u2019t need they could then sell it to others for a small profit. They say having a chicken too is virtually the same as other common pets in terms of having an animal as \u201cpart of the family\u201d. That is an interesting thought financially which makes you winder why more people don\u2019t opt for that route if they have the ability to do so. It\u2019s probably not as cool as having a dog or cat that can do tricks. But in some ways it makes sense in the same vein as having a small garden to grow vegetables.<\/p>\n
Although, I have read stories where there are plenty of people where in this case they are just like a farmer where they literally raise it with the intent of eating it. That I can see not being as popular in a general family setting as it would be like killing your friend. Imagine telling a child that grew up with a fish that they are now going to cook it for dinner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
