This was an interesting story where apparently a customer of a restaurant chain called Taco Time did not get the order that they asked for and so they returned it to the counter. In doing so, it seemed like the person started to record the interaction and the staff member took exception to this by raising two middle fingers to the customer. This was then posted online and you can imagine that gave the company a lot of attention where they had to address it.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, they decided to fire the employee not just because of the gestures made but also the worker lied to the customer about being a manager. The reactions were interesting as some people were praising the company for reacting swiftly. The other side of the coin is how many people were also on the side of the employee saying how the customer isn\u2019t always right. In this instance, it seemed like the point was people should know these are low paying jobs and with that people shouldn\u2019t give them a hard time.<\/p>\n

I was thinking for the business they pretty much had no choice as the scenario would probably be worst if they kept the employee due to the circumstances. While I would agree it can be a stressful job, I could imagine the situation would be a lot different if say the customer was recording the employee in a very rude and aggressive way where the employee maintained their composure. I think that would have given the employee a win-win situation where the mass majority would support her and I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if she was rewarded I n some way by the company.<\/p>\n

That is interesting to think about too where are you more inclined to overlook these types of actions if you know that a job is stressful as an example? Or would you be in the mindset where they are getting paid to do the job and so they need to stay professional at all times?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
