A lot of businesses seem to be up and running again which is great for the most part. What is interesting to hear though is how many people who started to work from home during the lockdowns now want it to be permanent thing. As a result, they refuse to actually work in-person while debating non stop how they can get the same work done at home anyways.<\/p>\n
Businesses now either have to try and convince people that working at say the office will be better or they are forced to have to replace the employee. From some stories I read, even during the hiring process it seems like many are even offering premiums to entice people to work in-person. That was virtually unheard of before all the lockdowns where now it\u2019s almost like as special resume skill.<\/p>\n
For some businesses such as ones that require customer service workers to talk on the phone all day a lot of them had just made it a standard business option for employees. But the debate there is often should they get paid less since they get to work from home versus people who are working at the office? I actually do wonder if any business made it clear that telecommuting as an example would be temporary versus just scrambling in the moment to make things work and assuming everyone will be glad to go back to normal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
