Today it seemed like the stock for the company Netflix dropped hard as customers appear to be leaving the service in massive numbers. It seemed like it dropped by over 35% in the stock market. Now there were a lot of speculations as to why this happened. The first reason that people are theorizing is that this is a bad sign as it can be that consumers don\u2019t have as much disposable income due to recent times and therefore are actively looking to cut the bills from all unnecessary services.<\/p>\n
You can imagine for all other entertainment providers they will see this as a sign where they are probably next to get hit hard in a recession style scenario. But is that the case? From reading online it seemed like a lot of people were leaving the service due to changes such as enforcing a policy in regards to sharing accounts. As well, the other detail I read is that many people may simply not like the direction the company is taking content wise. For example, content that is becoming very political when people just want to be entertained.<\/p>\n
If that is the case then other companies should see that as a sign of opportunity to grab all the customers that are looking for new places to spend their money.
