Some feel young children should not be exposed to these kinds of materials while others say they should.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">SCOOP: Disney corporate president Karey Burke says, &quot;as the mother [of] one transgender child and one pansexual child,&quot; she supports having &quot;many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories&quot; and wants a minimum of 50 percent of characters to be LGBTQIA and racial minorities. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oFRUiuu9JG\">pic.twitter.com\/oFRUiuu9JG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Christopher F. But now that it is out there it makes me wonder if the company will be embraced more or suffer extreme backlash as this is a topic that seems to be dividing people a lot here.  Interestingly enough, in some countries such as China they have rules that essentially ban say males from being too feminine as an example where for companies there they definitely wouldn\u2019t have much choice.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s always a major risk to be that outspoken about a subject that currently generates heated debate.
