Was there ever a storm today with so much flooding around the area as towns in certain parts of the province were evacuated. While it definitely wasn\u2019t as bad here in comparison. One thing I decided to get even before this was a new umbrella as my old one seemed worn out. Water was actually dripping from the top and onto me at times. This wasn\u2019t a cheap umbrella too at about $30 where I just wanted something that lasts.<\/p>\n
So in doing my research there was local company here who apparently made a sturdy umbrella that is over $100 retail once you factor in all the taxes. I saw that a local store actually sold it as a distributor and so I went in to buy it. At first I looked around and there didn\u2019t appear to be any on display. So when I asked the employee she immediately knew it was behind the counter storage. Too expensive to leave out I suppose huh?<\/p>\n
It seemed like it was the owner or manager that took over after and she unpacked the box to show me what it was like informing me it was high quality and all. I was thinking it sounded like she was trying to convince me to buy it and so I simply told her I would buy it right away as that is why I went there. She seemed stunned at first but for these items I would imagine the customer would have to in a sense be ready to purchase it to go to the store.<\/p>\n
What it made me think was from a business perspective would you actually opt to show the product first as you assume they are just looking or would you simply ask the customer which one they would like to buy? From smaller purchases like a grocery store normally they would assume you are buying right away whereas for expensive items people do assume people are just looking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
