There was this documentary released a short while back called free Britney which essentially highlights how the signer Britney Spears had no real control over things like her finances due to her age. As well, during the height of her career a lot of people and media often labelled her as a clueless girl of sort who is only getting by through sex appeal.<\/p>\n
With the release of this documentary her image immediately changed once people saw how her life was. As well, it highlight how conservatorship laws are abused and outdated in many ways. It started to spread virally as well where lawmakers seem to be taking it seriously. But what it made me think is how it basically took this one film to do all that. Imagine all the money and activism people usually do to try to get something changed. Yet here it was accomplished through this one film.<\/p>\n
It makes you wonder where if you are investing thousands of hours in time and money to try and promote some kind of change in a traditional way maybe it\u2019s better to try and make a compelling film to do the talking for you instead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
