Every company actually has its own rating system and Equifax Canada is one that I actually have never tried before. So what does the credit score report look like and what do I rank? According to the site, you can get a max high score of 900 and it seems like I am ranked 824 according to this which is excellent.

This is considered its “EFX” rating where %57 percent of Canadians have a score of 760+. That’s actually not too bad overall as with all the stories you hear it would sound like 80 percent of the population would be in extreme credit card debt where they can’t pay it off as an example. Although keep in mind a high credit score doesn’t necessarily mean a person has zero debt.

Although the next report about “Delinquency Rates” is kind of interesting where this is how lenders and credit providers view you in terms of a risk assessment and what type of interest rates you could get. In this report it indicates that being in the 800+ category places me in the top 1% with the majority being within a 300 to 499 score.

Honestly, for things like interest rate for credit cards it’s pretty worthless since I pay it off every month in full when I use it.
