Recently the new AMD Ryzen 5000 processors have been released and a ton of enthusiast are looking to buy them. As expected, there are a ton of scalpers who simply buy them with the intent to sell them to make money. While that is normal, it did make me think how some retail stores actually have prices way higher than the MSRP. My assumption is they know it will sell and so people are willing to pay an extra premium to get it. While that may be true, would you think that is ethical to do?<\/p>\n
That reminds me of when I worked at a store and a new movie release was going to be a top seller for sure. While customers came in believing the price of the movie would be about $15 as advertised in the flyer, the manager at the store decided to get greedy and actually made the movie cost about $18. Many people actually just bought the movie at that price without checking and only a few people noticed the difference to get a price adjustment. She was celebrating that she made more money this way. To me that is so wrong though.<\/p>\n
I personally don\u2019t feel retail stores should jack up the prices like this for hot items. Especially if they are authorized distributors. As tempting as it may be I feel it destroys a company\u2019s credibility in wanting to do what\u2019s best for the customer and not treating them as just a number.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
