I think many businesses are still debating whether or not they should make it mandatory for all customers to wear a mask versus either requiring employees to wear them or design the store in such a way, such as having shield coverings everywhere, where it can theoretically be just as good. That’s because many people are apprehensive about being forced to wear one or maybe at times you technically can’t such as eating a meal at a restaurant where you will have to take out instead.

Recently I was reading how the public transit here will make masks mandatory unless there are factors such as for children under 5 years old or if people have a health condition. But in reading it a lot of the writing implied that they won’t actively try and police it. I would imagine because there are way too many people to police each day plus the mini fights that will probably break out due to arguments over it.

Reminds me of the hundreds of city bylaws that are in place which get broken everyday as you can’t exactly have people policing every little thing. But does it make sense to implement these kinds of policies even if you don’t really have the intent or manpower to fully enforce it?
