While there is no mandatory law requiring people to wear face masks here there are a lot of businesses that are implementing policies where they require customers to wear one in order to shop at their stores. This has resulted in many people going elsewhere and even for people I know they are turned off in going to places that insist you must wear one. But what was interesting is for smaller businesses they often rely on small handmade signs to tell [people to wear a mask.<\/p>\n
In some cases though I suppose since they have very little real estate on the signs they use the message is rather blunt such as saying \u201dNo Mask No Shopping\u201d type of phrases. It makes me wonder if that tone actually discourages people in the same way how a business would tell a customer that they don\u2019t need their business. Basically get lost if you don\u2019t want to abide by their procedures. For example, would you be more receptive if they asked you to please wear a mask due to their policy?<\/p>\n
The worst scenario would be the business offers something essential where they know people will go to them anyways and so they could care less if a few people are turned off. Will be interesting to see how businesses that demand masks versus ones that don\u2019t succeed during these times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
