Recently with so many different government funding plans available for the public who are affected by COvID-19 shutdowns I have been reading a few stories of people who could work and earn more money opt to stay home and earn less while getting federal aid. While you could say it\u2019s for safety reasons of course where you will be fully safe at home versus out in-front of a lot of people, in these cases people made it clear that they valued the free time to do other things more.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s kind of a scenario that people often think about pandemic or not. Would you actually opt to work less for a less glamorous lifestyle that simply gets you by each day where you actually end up with more free time? On paper it seems most people would say yes. But when it comes down to it I think most would opt to work and earn more because they want more in general.<\/p>\n
Kind of odd to think about such as saying if you could have home, raise a family and not worry about bills most people in practice would opt out if it meant living with just the essentials and all the free time in the world. They would rather be challenged everyday which seems to be the theme. Either way, I think financially the important mindset to take out of all of this is that you make a choice in many ways to be in the lifestyle you are in. When you start seeing everything as a choice it often gives you more confidence and a sense of control to change things the way you desire.<\/p>\n
This is as opposed to being in debt and doing nothing but complaining about the market as an example. There usually is another option which of course may not be to your taste. But at least you know that you can change things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
