It seems like I am reading even more stories lately on how there are a lot of people who feel as if they are being excluded in the upcoming Canada Emergency Response Benefit where you need to meet certain stipulations in order to qualify for the benefit. Most recently I was reading how people such as many students will not qualify for these funds.<\/p>\n
The reason being is that one of the stipulation is you cannot be someone who voluntarily quit your job where the plan was to always take a break and then look for work in the future. That\u2019s what many students do as an example where during one period they work to earn money and then quit when the big school year comes around. After the course is done they then seek employment again.<\/p>\n
I suppose that makes sense as you wouldn\u2019t want something written where people who normally wouldn\u2019t have worked anyways would then suddenly get free money. But at the same time it is in a sense excluding a group of people where if say the intent was normally to find work this week but now can\u2019t because every business is shutdown they are kind of out of luck in paying the bills.<\/p>\n
It got me thinking because in this case you had some people where regardless they were going to try to find a way to make money regardless of a government handout such as trying an online business. Then you have a different group of people spending a lot of energy trying to fight and change this program to include every group that is legitimately effected by this.
