Usually when people think of starting a business the perception of running a multi-million dollar corporation with hundreds of employees come to mind. Or on a smaller scale it can be selling a product at a physical location. Recently here in Vancouver we have been getting a ton of warning that the temperature could drop to about -20 degrees Celsius and that there could be a lot of snow on the way. As you can imagine a lot of people are getting into preparation mode.<\/p>\n
This also got a lot of people to think how there will likely be a lot of home owners that need snow removal services. So people with a vehicle and some shovels are getting the inspiration to simply create a snow removal business on a whim where they figure they can make some extra spending money. It\u2019s virtually no different than a teenager offering to mow people\u2019s lawn for a fee as well. This is a business too when you think about it. Yet most people would still say \u201cthis isn\u2019t a business\u201d which doesn\u2019t really make sense.<\/p>\n
To me, if you offer some kind of service or product in these ways then depending on factors like the volume of work you do it\u2019s a perfectly legitimate business. Why this is important is because often times people make themselves believe that they can\u2019t ever start anything because they assume they have to be a Google or Apple as an example. There are plenty of businesses you can start like with these examples. The important thing is getting started.
