I was thinking as recently a person messaged me as way back she asked if I could help her with one of her projects. At the time I said yes where afterwards our schedules simply never aligned. So as a result nothing was ever done. So months later she reconnects with me and asks when I would be free to help her as she now has time to start this thing. What it made me think is how in these cases most people would actually just forget about it since the request was such a long time ago. But in reality many people are still willing to follow through despite how long ago the request was.<\/p>\n
I know for myself the only reason I would say no is if for whatever reason I learned that the person did something really bad as an example where I no longer wish to work with them. But more often than not if I didn\u2019t see the harm in offering help before it will still remain true months later as people generally understand that things happen in life. It\u2019s important to not just assume the person simply withdrew their offer.<\/p>\n
Whether or not you reconnect with small talk and all is usually the thing that people wonder about. To me just a simple greeting and reminder of what was discussed before is good enough. Doesn\u2019t need to be complicated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
