Often times like most people I would get requests to meet other people to discuss something where it could be a business proposition of sort. They would often ask if I would like to go out for a quick drink to talk about the details. Funny enough, that usually implies alcohol, which I don\u2019t drink, and the frugalness in me is thinking there is no need to waste money just to talk about stuff. However, the majority of people often likes to drink or eat something during quick meetings like these so I often comply but don\u2019t bother getting anything myself.<\/p>\n
Even for this month if I added up all the times would have bought something in these meetings I would have easily spent well over one hundred dollars. It really adds up even for the simple common items such as people buying a cup of coffee. I tend to eat prepared items at home before going out to these types of casual get together out of habit and so I am often goo until I get home. Actually saves the hassle from having to carry something around too.<\/p>\n
I have heard of people who spent a ton to schmooze with people in fancy places to get some great partnerships as an example.
