I was watching some lighthearted videos the other day that involved professionals teaching average people to do what they do. In most cases people\u2019s mindset was that the job must be so hard to do where you need to be like some rocket scientist to complete. The funniest examples were when magicians tried to teach people to tricks. While the person originally thought it would require a very good memory or fast hands some of them were so simple that even the magician joked that they will be out of the job eventually when people see how easy various tricks are.<\/p>\n
That then got me to think how not wanting to giveaway trade secrets for the fear that people will do it themselves is super common. Although it makes you wonder in like these cases would it matter if people knew how easy it is to do something in the long run? For example, many times people know how to do something but simply won\u2019t because it is time consuming. So they instead pay others to do it. Or the flip-side would be there are actually people that make a living telling all these industry secrets for a fee. So it\u2019s different approach to it.<\/p>\n
I guess like magic tricks too you can pretty much find the solution for all of them online if you look hard enough. But do you as a regular person care to do so? Or as the performer does this just encourage you to come up with even better stuff as opposed to relying on common tricks? I would imagine for the very successful people they never rely on just having one trick, so to speak, as it will eventually become public information.
