The other day I was looking at a spam folder on a site as sometimes those things can accidentally flag messages that are perfectly legitimate. There was this one person who seemed to have been link dropping in so many different posts in an attempt to promote of his work. What caught my attention is that I have seen this person before a long time ago where he initially sounded like he was genuinely interested with the content on the site. But it was suspicious where he constantly referenced his own site whenever he talked.<\/p>\n
I haven\u2019t seen the person\u2019s name until recently in this spam folder and the funny thing was what he wrote. In virtually every post he would say how much he loves the author and just references the title of a post to then follow up with how he created something that he wants people to see. It was virtually the same format for every post he spammed. While it\u2019s one thing to self-promote, when it is that obvious and you in a sense pretend to care about say a business or person I would imagine that just makes people want to blacklist you fast.<\/p>\n
I would think if your only interest like here was to self-promote then you should simply treat it as such where your communication with the business would be to discuss the possibilities of say ways to advertise. Just seems like the professional and appropriate thing to do as opposed to being seen as a disingenuous person overall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
