Today I saw a scenario where a person was looking for people to be test subjects for one of his projects. He said he was willing to offer people about $5 for their time. You can imagine the responses there where a lot of people felt it was a waste of time because of that. It made me think, would it have been better to advertise such a request purely for volunteers instead?<\/p>\n
Even for myself if I see the advertisement for a volunteer I would tend to try and just make sure that I agree with the project and make sure it is for a good cause per se. However, advertising it upfront with a very small form of monetary compensation often gives people the impression that you treat them like a fool per se to think it is such a great opportunity for them to do it for virtual nothing.<\/p>\n
That may not be the case of course but I feel that is the impression most will have where it\u2019s better just to ask for people to volunteer their time and show why they may enjoy doing so. If anything too advertise it as an honorarium as oppose to like a form of hourly pay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
