With Halloween on today you can bet there will be kids going trick or treating with their crazy costumes. Going to the malls and getting candy from various stores is often a thing too where many businesses hand out candy. But with that there are a ton of stores that simply plaster a sign where they are not offering any candy as they aren\u2019t participating in the event. Not surprisingly this is usually companies that have nothing related to candy or kids as a demographic such as jewelry store. Although I did see businesses like a bank still participate.<\/p>\n
Makes you wonder where if you are a business in this scenario would you participate in the event and just hand out some inexpensive candy even if you don\u2019t feel the people visiting will ever be a customer? To me personally I would be inclined to say yes as long as doing so is not going to put you in debt or anything like that. The reason being is I feel as a business being a part of the community plays a role as to whether or not people remember you for certain products or services. There is a reason large companies sponsor events to get its name out there for example.<\/p>\n
In this case I would see it as you get to do something fun where at the same time it could actually be an opportunity to introduce yourself to people who have never done business with your company. You never know too as that child may never want to buy that high end jewellery but maybe the parent would in the future. I view it as a fun way to give back too that doesn\u2019t exactly break the bank.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
