Recently at a store they were selling this 250g jar of peanut butter for about $2.70 which was a good deal for it as usually it could cost about $4 or so. As expected a ton of people jumped on the deal. But interestingly enough in another store they sold the same brand of peanut butter expect it was one kilogram. The price of this one? About $6. So ultimately the large jar at a regular price was better than the sale price for the smaller ones.<\/p>\n
Buying larger bulk quantities can sometimes not be a good idea where if you don\u2019t normally consume the product that much where you have to force yourself to use more or throw away excess amounts then it\u2019s better to get the smaller packages. But often for sale price comparisons I like to compare the smaller packages to the larger ones too as it gives you a better representation if you are truly saving more money with the best deal possible.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s necessary too in order to truly understand the best value for your dollar. At the same time it helps you to not just make impulsive purchases because the sign says the item is on sale. That seems to be one of the things to get over as a frugal shopper where those sale signs don\u2019t automatically equal to the best deal of the year so to speak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
