This is something that I hear a lot where recently a couple decided to go to an event because it was free to enter but obviously the items inside the event such as food was not. They were excited in a sense with how much money they saved from the entrance fee because they can\u2019t really afford to spend too much on entertainment. However, during the event they were calculating that they spent almost $35 each on food and attractions.<\/p>\n
This got them grumbling at how expensive the actual event is. It made me wonder where if people who are usually very keen in saving money for events like these usually adopt a spend no money mentality even when you are at the place in question. I usually would if I know I wouldn\u2019t have normally went to the place anyways. These are usually things like a convention or a fair. It\u2019s just adds up so fast when you say buy that soft drink or snack at inflated prices as an example because the business needs to make its money back.<\/p>\n
If I do intend to spend I usually plan it ahead of time such as like the above I would have said $35 is my max ahead of time. But for myself if the lure of being free was pretty much the main motivator then keeping it free is my goal as well while still having fun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
