I often said that video games was a great way to teach me how to manage my money both to stay out of debt while thinking ahead on how to invest my hard earned money. One thing that got me thinking recently was that game Pokemon Go. In order to get money in that game you essentially have to hold and conquer what is known as a \u201cgym\u201d for about eight hours. Afterwards with the game mechanics someone has to defeat you where you can then reap the rewards. If no does so you actually don\u2019t earn anything so you want to get kicked out and you can\u2019t earn anymore for the day. As a result usually other people will occupy that space, get kicked out and the cycle continues. A common cycle is one group takes the morning the next group takes it at night.<\/p>\n
There is this one funny example where one person has the option to follow this cycle but chooses not to where as a result he actually earns less game money every day. With the cycle he could easily just take it in the morning and earn his maximum for the day. Instead for some reason at times he insist in trying to attack the space during the time it\u2019s most active from the opposing team. As a result he just ends up being a target when he does this where people then remove him during the time he would have normally been able to just earn his maximum.<\/p>\n
Now apparently the reason for this is that he just has that spite in him for a particular player. When you think about it he is focusing more on actually try to win a personal war I guess you can say as opposed to doing what\u2019s best for business, for a lack of a better word. Do you ever think of that when it comes to your personal business where you may be spending way too much time and resources you don\u2019t have just to try and close a competitor down per se?<\/p>\n
People often say \u201cmind your own business\u201d in a different context of course but in this case that could be a good idea if focusing on others s actually hurting your own growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
