With Amazon Prime day the main story didn\u2019t seem to be so much about its sale but rather how the site was down for a significant amount of time. Even though Amazon is a leader in cloud computing solutions too it seems like not even they were able to handle the massive spike in traffic. It reminds me of all the stories where companies spend thousands of dollars to get people to attend a sales event only to have something crazy happen such as they literally only have one product in stock of the featured sales item.<\/p>\n
But in this case though would you be understanding of a large company like this not being prepared? I guess many times that\u2019s why it can be good to just grow slowly and organically as you can do it in a steady and consistent way. Then again people would often say you either go big or go home. Actually, it almost make me wonder sometimes on whether or not these types of promotions are more to do with companies trying to look better than another.<\/p>\n
For example, one person wanting to hold a bigger party so that they can look better than the other person even though they can\u2019t realistically host the event smoothly. Marketing is one thing.
