One challenge in running a business is often finding ways to meet the right people in order to grow. This could be entrepreneurs trying to find the right people to partner with or companies simply trying to find the right talent to hire. A lot of times companies spend thousands of dollars to do this. So what got me thinking today is how I was playing this game called Monster Hunter Now where in many ways it’s like Pokémon Go. You walk around in real life where in this case you fight monsters. The company recently released features that enables you to add people that you happened to be playing with in the game around your area. Was I ever surprised too where there appeared to be quite a few people.
In this case I did read how people were constantly trying other ways to reach out to players in their area such as randomly posting on websites in hopes to find someone. But in many cases it seems like they were the only one that played. Boy were they wrong of course where once this feature was released, they couldn’t stop finding someone new every day.
It’s a great example how many times everyone we are looking for is so close to us where we just didn’t have the right tools to connect with one another. In this case it’s just a fun example with a video game too. Imagine if you were a company that has an app for your services and you had ways to get people like this to form a sense of community. Would that be good business as well for non entertainment companies?
