Disappearing Records As A Sign To Exit

Recently I was looking to review the performance of a contactor where all their work should have been digitally documented using an online platform which makes remote working and information access a breeze. Especially if someone else needs to takeover. I was just doing a checkup where I asked for a report on the work done over a period of time and this should have been a one-minute job to simply export the data. However, surprisingly they said all the data was missing for a certain time.

Who doesn’t think that shows a sign of dishonesty on some way? For example, it could be they actually didn’t do any work which means naturally it would be empty or there were some questionable transactions where one would then want to potentially delete it. To me personally, this was a sign immediately that the person needed to be let go as it is no different than a bank account all of sudden having its records tampered with per se.

This Is one of those things too where usually when you acquire help you tend to want to let the professionals do their job without micromanaging them. But in extreme cases like these it shows how you still need to be on top of things to verify the work is actually being done to satisfaction.
